Angry Homeworld 2: Run once but not anymore

I installed this a couple hours ago played it for a while then came out of it. Now that i want to go back into it, the thing wont load. When i execute the icon the arrow cursor with the egg timer shows and then dissappears and nothing happens. I've tried this with all the shortcuts for it and the main .exe file but no joy. Im running winxp Home, rady 8500, 1.4Ghz AXP. Any one got ne suggestions for me please, this is really frustrating.

    PS

I did set most of the video settings to high when i first run it, could this be the problem? If so how would i get round it cos i cant get into the program to change anything. And another thing i have installed DX9 like it told me to and im using the current Radeon drivers

im assuming its somthing to do with my Graphics since it says the error was caused in atioglxx.dll .

there is a lot more to this error report but i dont think it means much.
