two things i forgot to ask
1.does lavasoft firewall have any conflicts with nod32?
2. does nod32 have any conflicts with spysweeper or lavasoft firewall?

I have been using NOD32 for nearly two years.... I think it is really good, fast, reliable, and only uses very low resource on the PC (unlike tha latest Symantec Internet Bloatware 2006).... I use the wonderful Windows Firewall on all my clients, but also have a Netgear DG934PN which provides the real firewall.
I can thouroughly recommend NOD32, and lots of my friends and collegues have switched to it and not one of over 25 people who have switched to it on my recommendation have not been suitably impressed and satisfied.
Try to make each and every day the best it can be.
outpost firewall is sweet
i wanted a non bloated firewall to go with nod32 which from what ive heard outpost firewall is a bit bloated
i have a bt voyager 2091 router whihc has bulti in hardware firewall
but i want a firewall which can control both in going and outgoing trafic which the windows firewall cant

I fairly simple firewall is Zonealarm, I've never had any issues with that, but I'm also behind a hardware firewall.

Hardware firewalls are great, but if you have a network then they wont stop any internal attacks, say one of your network PC's has a virus that spreads on networks, then you would be pretty stuffed.Originally Posted by lodore
Nod32 is very good indeed. Windows Firewall is ok, i use it too. Zonealarm is very good too.
