    On-screen volume display app?

    Hi all,

What I'm after is some kind of on-screen display that pops up and shows the current volume level whenever I press the volume up/down/mute buttons on my keyboard. Mac OS X has one built-in, that kind of idea. Think Vista has one as well.

I do know of one program called 3r1c which mimics the OS X display perfectly but it's a PITA as if you press any of the volume or mute keys when running a full screen app such as a game, the game grinds to a halt, gets minimised (as if I'd ALT+TAB'd out of it). So if there is something out there it needs to not steal window focus if I'm going to use it. Any ideas?

    Cheers

    I hadn't, I have now and it's *almost* perfect!

I like it, the only thing is that on it's own it doesn't respond to the volume keys, have to press the Windows Logo Key + Cursor Up/Down instead. To remap that to the volume keys you have to get the Active Keys program from the same site and that's payware.

Will see if I can get a free key remapper that works with it. Thanks muchly for the heads up.
