    outlook autocomplete name storage

    Hello all,

in outlook when you start to type an email address such as "David@h" it autocompletes to "david@hexus.net" or offers "david@hexus.net and david@hydro.org" for your selection.

Where is this information stored. I want to get access and if possible export this data to some sort of human readable file to see the email address it is aware of.

    thanks,
    It is Inevitable.....

i had a search for this a while back and couldn't find anything. would be good to know. There are stupid people at work that don't save email addresses and rely on that feature, claiming they are "in the system" if outlook guesses correctly. idiots.

It's stored at C:\Documents and Settings\your-profile\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook - there will be a PROFILENAME.nk2 file, which is the autocomplete cache
