    Why are some apps icons no longer being displayed in the system tray?

    A few apps i use always used to have an icon in the system tray. Many do not anymore, even though they are running ok and should do.

    Anyone got any idea way this is and how i can sort it?

    start>run>"msconfig">startup tab, check if they're still running on startup

    Yes, they are all still running. Task manager shows them running, although i knew that anyway.

    try the uPnP thing here - that's what fixed it for me
