    Windows not allowing > 127GB ?

    OK so last week I built my new system (specs below) and installed windows. Been using it a few days now without a hitch , anyway, I put my old HDD from my old computer in to sit along my SATA2 drive.

    So, when I was just happily formatting my second HDD using the windows software, I noticed that Windows had only allocated itself 127.9GB on my Sata2 drive, leaving around 25GB 'unallocated'



    Anyone care to shed any light on why I've been robbed of all this free space?

    Cheers for posting that thread, I understand now. I wish there was a way of making a Windows installation CD WITH service pack 2 pre-installed. That way no one would have this problem, unless you buy Windows now, I guess.

    Thanks for the link, except I don't think I really need it. Windows <i>can</i> see that extra 25GB of space, it's just prior to service pack 2 it couldn't.

    where you can integrate drivers/service packs and remove some of the crappy stuff in windows
