    Music Lost!

    Christ,
While installing the newer version of iTunes, I specified the iTunes music folder to be in my E drive, where I keep my music. So, as I added music to iTunes, I realised it was duplicating it all and putting it in this folder... I didn't have spacke for this so i deleted the iTunes music folder, then emptied the recycle bin... it seems I've deleted pretty much all of my formerly large music collection. I got 'Recover My Files' and have found some of it, but curiously not all. i told it to recover from recycle bin (nothing) and from E, where it dredged up 643MB of files - I had previously amassed nearly 30 GB! AArgh! Don't know what to do now, absolutely panicing, please help me, someone, pleeeeease

have you tried using system restore to anytime before you lost all your music to see if that gets your files back?

system restore just resets all the registry entries, i dont think it restores files.
Is all the music on CD? I had 20gigs worth of CD's copied to my hard drive and i lost it all. only had about 3500 songs tho as it was all ripped at OGG. Good luck getting ur stuff back, but i think its something oof a lost cause.

Doesn't iTunes by default move the files into its catalog folder, in which case you've lost the lot unless you can download an undelete utility.
