    Exchange 2003 Directory Export

Ok, this one has me stumped. I'm fully conversant (or so I'd like to think) in Exchange 5.5, and am now pretty much in charge of the day to day running of Windows Server 2003/Exchange 2003 domain. I've been asked for a list of all users in Exchange, which I would previously supply via a directory export however this is obviously not present in 2003 - any pointers on an easy way to do this in 2003?

Depends - you can export the contents of an information store , just right click on it and select export list ?

if you want to be clever , you coudl do it via an LDAP lookup to AD.

Been looking at the LDAP side of things which could be fun... In terms of the data I need I could have been more specific - the client wants a list of users and SMTP addresses (the server essentially forwards all mail to an external address anyways) to chck against their HR records.

that much is easy, with a single ldap query.

i don't know how Exchange stores its directory entries, but with a normal OpenLDAP setup, you'd do a search on objectClass=inetOrgPerson and get the mail & cn attributes.

Having googled further I think LDAP is the only real way to do it. Cheers guys!
