    Question Mirage" SiS 741GX Ubuntu driver INSTALLATION!

    Hi, just got a ASRock K7S41GX that I'm typing this out on right now
    running ubuntu and i cant get a res higher than 10224x768 at 61hz... now i can run 1600x1200 on my dell monitor at 70hz... so obviously need the drivers... so its a ASRock K7S41GX with Integrated Mirage™ Graphics. Max. 64MB...

    HOW do i install them apparently their already within ubuntu but i don't know how to install them (only recently migrated over to linux...) so what do i do to setup the onboard gfx drivers so i can run full resolutions...

    I really hope I can get this working nicely...otherwise I'll have to plug in my old GeForce4 Mx 440 64MB but thats AGP 4x.... which would be slower but then its a linux media center/download box so it wouldnt be much slower surely?and would have better supported drivers from nvidia etc right?

    the gf4mx would quite definitely be faster than the SiS - partly because there's no chance for 3D support in the SiS driver, whilst there is with nvidia
