    Best DVD Creating Software

Basicly, ive just got myself a DVD burner and 50 odd DVD-Rs and would like to start making myself some DVDs, im looking for what everyone thinks to be the best software for creating DVD's, hopefully with an inbuilt converter for all commonly used file types, if not, a dedicated converter would be nice aswell.

Im looking for free and non free ones, if the pay ones are good ill buy, if not ill just go with something free.

Needs new monitor / speakers / headphones / keyboard.
Before that i need money :s

What sort of DVDs are you trying to create? Video? Audio? Data?

I use a mix of programs. I have Nero 7 reloaded for most things and Adobe Premiere Elements for the occasions when I feel like using Adobe as opposed to nero

Both are good IMHO but I haven't done an awful lot of video editing - quite pleased with what I have managed though.

Ill be mostly using it for Video, but the often enough Data disc and even the rare audio!

I always use Nero for burning things but usually use external applications to edit things to my liking beforehand. I usually edit my video with Virtualdub(free) and audio with Soundforge.

I use CDBurnerPro XP for burning data CDs and DVDs - and it's free!

I use VSO's ConvertXtoDVD for burning video DVDs
    http://www.vso-software.fr/products/convert_x_to_dvd/

I use ImgBurn to burn ISOs to CD/DVD - and it's free!

FileHippo - http://www.filehippo.com/software/dvd/ has a nice collection of free or cheap quality software media tools.
