If you are having FF issues, completely uninstall FF (and it's probably best to delete the application data, remembering to save your bookmarks.html) then reinstall. A few people I know had some serious issues with it but only in rare cases.
Dorza: I can't say FF has ever been unstable for me. I've never known mine to crash once since version 1 and I've gone through every update. I'd assume it was just your setup causing the issues. OS's themselves can cause other software to have issues, and if you've generally got a bad setup (I find it rare to find a DECENT install nowadays) then that may well be the cause.
FF 2 IS NOT RELEASED
stuff pops up on the mozilla ftp sites all the time, it might be a good idea to remove the links to the mirrors as well:

FF2's release is the most read story on BBC News.
That's kinda crazy - clearly Firefox is truly mainstream now.
I downloaded the English dictionary and installed that, went to tools>options and removed the US one, restarted Firefox but right click>languages still lists the US one.
Get this, Firefox should be Firebox or Fire fox ha ha.
I love that quote in the comments. This really **** me off. Your loyal fans (without them you'd be nowhere) happen to stumble across the Firefox 2 file, which you put up in plain sight. They tell their friends (AS YOU HAVE BEEN MOANING AT THEM VIA SPREADFIREFOX FOR THEM TO DO FOR YEARS) and you guys don't say 'Oh well! At least the marketing effort has got off to a good start!', no, instead you belittle and ****ing tell them off like school children for doing what you've been telling them to do.
As far as I know it IS the final release, but it wasn't announced. It's annoying the FF team because obviously crap loads of people are grabbing it from the Mozilla FTP. If you read his post he doesn't mention anywhere that it's NOT the final release, he just goes on about how it hasn't been released yet _officially_. He's just annoyed because of fanboys managing to get their hands on it early In fact, I remember the final 1.5 download being available the day before it's release and the devs saying that it hasn't been released yet.
Seems really quick to me
Does it remember your open windows like Opera?

In other words, go to about:config, and change Browser.tabs.closeButtons to 3.

Good old MS
That's a bit rich considering on how long it's taken them to go from version 6 to 7...
