anyone know if there is an extention which does the following.

If you highlight text and push the mouse wheel down it will try and load it into
a new tab. i.e. if you highlight www.hexus.net it will load it into a new tab.

you don't need an extension to do this - it's the default behaviour on Linux versions of firefox, and can be enabled by going to about:config and changing middlemouse.contentLoadURL to True

Check your mouse settings... the default MS intellipoint settings make it do somehting different... change it so its just middle click or "autoscroll"

The mouse is using the standard ps2 mouse driver in windows. It doesnt allow
you to do anything with the middle mouse button as far as i can tell.
