    Fecking IE error!!

    Got a big new HD on Monday, so I re-intstalled Windows XP on my primary drive to clean out all the spyware virii and other crap that it had become infested with.

    Anyway, since then everything has been nice and quick again. Except I keep getting this error in Internet Explorer;

    It always seems to be when I move the cursor over some sort of menu. It is a Java thing perhaps??
    In the context of this Pentax page, I can't access the fecking menu because of it!!!

    Thank you for any help.

    EDIT: And yes, I have run windows update, installed all of the updates and installed SP1.

    Weird, just installed the Java stuff from the Sun website and it still comes up with that error.

    Any further suggestions?

    You can always disable script debugging...

    Tools>Interet Options>Advanced> check Disable Script Debugging

    When a script error occurs you will get a yellow exclamation icon on the status bar instead of the message box popping up. Double click on the icon for details of the error.

    Its actually a bug in their web page not poor little old IE.

    It only happens when the mouse is over the Digital section of the menu. The code is trying to find an element called 'Digital' but it doesn't exist. There is however an element named 'DigitalCamera' so I guess it was a typo by the web dev.

    Java is unrelated to Javascript, which is a name invented by Microsoft for ECMAScript.

    Installing Java will make no difference to the Javascript of a system, since the Javascript is handled by the IE web page renderer & not by an external plugin like Java

    No browser better the Firebird at the minute in my opinion, not even 1.x release still the most stable , fast and feature packed browser i've ever used, the tabbed browsing is a god send if you are used to I.E where u have to open multiple windows to browse multiple pages at the same time, now i have 5 pages open all in one window love it. If u deide to use it, use the windows installer version it will install all the reg entries for you so u can easily install the java and other plugins. http://seb.mozdev.org/firebird
