i constantly have to click on winamp to hear what song im listening to.
ive been looking for some sort of tray plugin, like in media player, that puts the gui in the tray. another option could be a VFD.
what do you guys use, screens would be great

    any suggestions?

lcdc with a matrix orbial has aplugin for winamp that can be configured to do most things

    (I'll take a photo)

or an optimus mini has buttons on it that are small LCD displays that display the song and track while having play/pause rewind / fast forward buttons
    It is Inevitable.....

Ok, booted into windows and installed the plugins.

Here you go, here the layout I use, or would use if this was my regular desktop

Here is the LCD displaying a GFX EQ of the playing song - looks good no other function

Here is the LCD displaying the track and details - I have this displaying during track changes.

You can display this constantly or with more / less data - its up to you on config.
eg I could have the track name on the middle LCD - the EQ on the right and the details about the track (duration/bitrate/position/album) for example ont he left screen.

Then you could use an optimus mini - this is good - but not as flash as it could bt because I've not got used to configuring it well the camera refused to take good photos of it,

so basiclly a photo of the mini running the winamp intergration, showing play/pause FF and RW

The track/album scrolls under the play/pause button constantly. You could get more detail if you played with it more.

Winamp + Album List plugin (with clearONE skin if it makes a difference). The Album List plugin can notify you at the start of a song (or when paused, unpaused) by popping up a box, MSN-like, with what-ever skin you use, album art included if available, then disappear again after a few seconds.

    Clicky for the biggy.

I use a fantastic Firefox 2 plug in that lets me get all my itunes controls at the bottom of the screen and hide the main menu. Makes sense really as I always have FF open.
