    Web design

Got a project I'm working on and I need the expertise of a web designer, I'm more than capable of whipping up my own site but need help with graphics and template layouts etc.

Any of you here up to the task, or you can recommend?

    Ta,

    Tobe

I may as well be a professional now (if relating to professional as a person who earns money from the task he/she works on) as I do a lot of web work for various people.

Depends what you need doing. Personally I prefer to work only in variable width websites nowadays, there are way too many fixed width websites and poor users who use larger LCDs (which are becoming more of a norm nowadays) view a page 90% covered in white and 10% of actual content.

You need to have a set of requirements for it i.e. what it's for, who it's aimed for, the theme etc. then get down to the dirty details of colour scheme, variable or fixed width (obviously I'm in favour of the former) et cetera. You'd also need a set of functional requirements, what languages would be needed for dynamic content (seeing as though AJAX is more and more popular by the day).

Put a general spec up in here and you're more likely to get a response. List a couple of sites you like the look/feel, whether you're paying, what kind of timescales, etc. etc.

I'm busy at the moment, but you never know, inspire me and I might get something done...

I'm slightly interested, but need more information. I design more to the opposite end of the spectrum above (basic, lynx/links viewable sites, 3rd world nation denominator dependant upon brief) but am more than qualified for pretty much anything - that's all insofar as designing. Even more proficient in coding.
To err is human. To really foul things up ... you need a computer.

As above, need more details on exactly what you require and what you are offering in exchange.

I'm guessing TobeMan means that he's capable of coding the site (XHTML, PHP, etc.) - but isn't too great with making uber graphics in photoshop.
