in the same way they havn't made clear the terms and conditions/use of the OEM or the support you get for it.

perhaps wait before advising people to use OEM.
    It is Inevitable.....

no, you're not. this is the single biggest reason for me to consider vista - it's about bloody time non-admin accounts were usable day-to-day

TBH many of the problems needing XP admin access are the result of code not being written according to MS's guidelines (eg code that writes to its own dir under Program Files rather than an App Data dir in the user's D&S folder).

Slightly off topic but can anybody advise how one becomes an MSDN subscriber? I'm all for testing new software and enjoy doing it too. I'm dual booting with XP and Vista RC1 at the mo, would like the oppurtunity to put RTM through its paces.

Or as part of the install they could give restricted users read/write to a specific dir in the apps dir. An example where storing data in users profiles if Google earth - the cache would IMHO be better per machine rather than per user or there's a lot of repeated data. However it really grates me when you have to run a program like BF2 as an administrator - thats just poor programming.

You expected it to be free?

I'm tempted too - probably wait until the new year though.
