Vista *FINAL* RTM now available on MSDN

Yup, it's finally there - although obtaining product keys seems to be a problem right now (others are having the same problem). Get on it before the USA wakes up

Interestingly, the hash is different from the illegal releases floating on the net prompting some speculation that they're not genuine final RTMs..

Nope, you get 10 licences for each OS from MSDN but they're only to be used for testing purposes.

40% there now.. 3 hours to go..

Well it's 30 mins away now but I can't get an ultimate product key off MDSN - there appears to be an error retrieving the darn key.. arrgh!

We've got a bet on who will download it first at work. I don't know why so many people are downloading it because once one person has a copy it'll be uploaded to our servers and distributed to everyone

Installing - although I chose 'upgrade' so it's going to _attempt_ to turn my Vista RC2 install into the RTM..

"Your upgrade may take several hours to complete"

    Crikey!

    yup x65 is there too

Got it (x86) installed and running now..did a clean format - but installed without a product key atm as I also can't get an ultimate key when i request it? I think the key request system is a bit broken atm..its also given me over 100 office 2007 keys after i requested just one lol..

First impressions of RTM over RC1 (I never really bothered with RC2, was more buggy than RC1) are very nice..it seems much faster and slicker - although I don't like the new windows media player icon ;/

still not been installed long so we'll see how I get on with it, installing visual studio atm

I think I may have to install it on my actual system at work as long as VMWare Workstation works on Vista.

Yes, the key system is reported to be a bit broken at the moment, although I've been requesting other keys just fine today through MSDN.

    Yay for being a developer
