    MP£ Splicing and Dicing !

    Hi,

I want to edit and chop up MP3 files. Can someone recommend a free bit of software that can do this ? The ability to batch splcie mp3 files into, say 5 min, chunks would be very good.

    Thanks all,

    moose

I don't know of a free one, but I use MP3Pro Trim 1.8, now called MPtrim.

    http://www.mptrim.com/

I use it on all my .mp2 freeview recordings from bbc7.

You open mptrim, play the mp3 in winamp, and when the you get to the point you want to trim from, you click a button in mptrim. Then jump forward in winamp to the end of your show or song, click another button in mptrim, and save. It's that simple. And no pops and clicks at the cut points.
