How to determine an installed windows key

I am currently doing a quick audit for a client on their windows keys and office keys installed

I have come across something bizarre and wondered if there is another method of checking before i call Dell.

Two new Dell Latitude D620s, one bought a few months ago and one is two weeks old.

Ive used magic jellybean key finder and rockxp

The windows key on both laptops is appearing the same.

I have checked the label on the bottom of the laptop and they are both different, is there another program i can use to be completely sure they have been installed with the same keys?

Also what effect will this have, i dont want one or both of them to stop working because Microsoft think its a dodgy copy?

They won't; you absolutely do have two legit copies, and the keys are there for if you had to install XP from normal OEM media. However, what you'll find is that the Dell BIOS-locked XP CDs use the same "key" or product ID whatever system they install on. If you did a fresh install from a Dell supplied XP CD, you wouldn't be challenged for a CD key, it'd automatically fill one in. According to my system audit, I've got about 155 on one product ID, 37 on another and so on and so forth. Worry not .
