    Question File search software

    Can anyone recommend something better that windows search?

    Currently looking to tidy up a clients server as they have powerpoint presentations in so many different places, windows search falls over after a period of time.

    I need to find out where they are, how many there, total disk space used and files with the same name, a comparison on both size, date etc..

    Or Google Desktop, but the indexing is slower to complete. Oh and its free.

    I had a couple of problems with google desktop a few years back , so have shyed away from it - it didn't like multiple people using a workstation , and wasn't good for searching reomte locations.
