    Windows Crashing - BUT WHY!!

Ok, this is my last cry for help before i formatt.

After installing new drivers from nVidia for my Nforce chipset my computer started playing up, well the firewall didnt work, yadada. Then These things happend, In try to get the NAM ( Network acsess manager) to work. ; in order

    Updated Bios - Didnt help
    Reisntalled Drives - Didnt help
Virus scan with new software - Found some viruses didnt help
Reisntalled with the 6.66 drivers from the Ausus Website. - Worked

Now a new problem occured, i was doing all this to fix an issue while playing guildwars where the game would lock up, nothing would happen and i;h have to hard restard. Now it happens all the time, it stated affter the 6.66 drivers where installed for the first time. But now the drivers are working, but the lockups have moved into windows as well. So It can freeze randomly at any time. Tryed these things.

    Updates for windows XP,
    Update for AMD 64 prosessers.
    Defragment, checkdisk
    memtest - Fine

And now i dont know what to try short of formatting, i cant seem to put my finger on whats causeing the problem, seen as the computers running better than before when its not crashed. Any idears?

Well i can only go back to 66.65 as the new bios doesnt suport older ones, but these seem to be working ok now, so i'm not sure its the problem.

What I would suggest is to roll back drivers. If that doesn't work recheck your BIOS and settings to see if anything's been changed. Also run a quick check to see if PSU is ok, and all fans in case are functioning well. Maybe a memory diagnostic would also help.

i would suggest downloading a older version of BIOS...

the exact same thing happened on my Gigabyte K8NS Pro mobo....

after 5-10 mins after boot up, the pc would freeze i worked out that the BIOS was causing conflictions somewhere

i managed 2 download a older version of bios using @BIOS and use my dual BIOS to load the older bios on and it worked
