    contract tracker (web/database based ?)

    Hello all,

I'm looking for a contractgin tracking type application.

Something that will allow me to track my contracts better.

    eg:

Contract held with | notes | start date | end Date

something that simple (more is obviously better) would be fine

The reason I'm thinking web based is so that I can a.) view it from anywhere - although that is not a massive need b.) have straight away cross platform support - not a massive need again c.) can write batch jobs against database driven applications like this easier to mail me when contracts are up for re-newall without having to open the application.

I'd appriciate your experiences/opinions on this, failing a decent response I'll write my own.

I'm interested in open source or comercial applications.

(note I don't want a project managment tool set - just a contract tracker)
    It is Inevitable.....

Maybe something like Trac could do it?

It's really for software development issue tracking, with a sort of content management / wiki built in, but it's bug tracking is basically a "ticket", which could correspond to a contract.
They told me I was gullible ... and I believed them.

yeah, well aware of trac, very good applicaiton, but way to much for what I want / need.

the more I say to myself what I want the more I think I'm going to have to write something myself.

I want too simple, no project managment, no tasks etc etc.

not really a very good way of tracking contracts, I may as well just use a pen and paper.

not very searchable, manipulative etc etc for multiple records.

well.. you could still search it handy enough with regex.

Still, you could easily impliment a simple tracker with php.
