I'm sure it is stores somewhere. Might be in the registry, or perhaps an XML file somewhere. This, however, if *not* stored in your contacts.
I know several people that have lost all those addresses and assumed wrongly they were part of their contacts. It;s just a temporary history list.
I save everything to contacts its just nice to have that list avaliable, so didnt know why it would just disapear???

Are you using Cached Exchange Mode? If so try unticking the cached exchange mode box, exiting Outlook then enabling it, exiting Outlook and then starting it again. This is usually caused by a corrupt cache and this should sort it.
No i'm not
Lee
You could try recreating the Outlook profile, or even the reverse of the above, but IO only ever see it with people using cached exchange mode.
OK
Cheers for your help mate i aint gonna lose no sleep over it will just start sending emails again lol to get it all there

That autocomplete feature is known as the nickname list. Its built up over time. If it goes wrong then there isn't much you can do to restore it.

Its a bit of a pain as people do tend to rely on it then complain when it goes missing.
There are some nice little plugins that will automatically add outgoing recipients to your contacts list though.
