    built in windows messenger

    how do i uninstall this? i've gone to control panel and looked at windows services only to find it says it's not installed yet every time i open office 2003 it's there!! arghhh!

    i've gone through the installtion of office to make sure there wasn't an install there but can't find anything. this is really anoying me as i use MSN messenger not Windows messenger.

    can anyone help?

    Try this, though I have a batch file at home that does it very nicely - if you haven't sorted it using the above method, let me know and when I get home I'll forward you a copy of the batch file.

    in add and remove programs there a little tab down the left hand side called "add and remove windows components" ITS in there =)
