LSP - Resetting Windows AV Status

I tried to uninstall F-Secure 2007 trial yesterday, but it BSOD'd on me half way through.

My PC still thinks F-Secure is the default AV but its not and its gone.

Is there a way to reset this, much like WinsockXP Fix?

I've tried LSP Fix but thats not helped. I've manually hacked it out in the reg (no doubt missing some) - is there an app that will let you search the reg for *FS*.dll (wildcards) and delete all it finds??

Can you do a system restore?

    Then try the uninstall again...

i would check fsecures site for a manual removal, norton has one i assume they would as well. once its gone it will either reset the status, or you can install/uninstall again to get rid ?

Unfortunately, as a normal human being, disabling System Restore is one of those things you first do when setting up the OS, I'd sooner reinstall than restore.

Have you tried FSecure's support? I've found them to be nigh on lengendary in the past. That said I'd have thought rerunning the installer and selecting uninstall would remove that.

I've used it a couple of times, works well with config issues (I seem to get a few with the Uni installed software )

Not agreeing with you there (you may well be normal human being tho) as System Restore has proven very worthy to me on a number of occasions..
