Help with AutoCAD...

I've recently started learning the basics of Autocad.

I started at the beginning of this month and I've picked up quite a bit of the basics.

My problem is, when creating say, a triangle and I want to draw a rectangle off it using the "ORTHO" tool, I can only draw straight lines vertical or horizontal.

My brother-in-law, who knows the program and works as a civil engineer, has just gone to bed now but said something along the lines of being able to modify the ORTHO tool so that it draws straight lines at an angle relative to one that you specify.

I was wondering if anyone knows what the command is or what the name of the tool is.

I've tried searching for tutorials on google etc. but I'm not sure what I'm searching for.

So I'd like to draw a rectangle from the part of the triangle I've circled, I'd like to draw it using the ORTHO tool.

The blue lines are how I'd like to draw my rectangle, I acheived this one by rotating the whole lot round (rather painstakingly at that) so that the angle was ripe for the ORTHO tool.

So I'd like to point again, I do NOT want to have to rotate the whole lot round to draw lines at 90 degrees from the triangle, so can someone please point me in the right and most efficient and also professional method.

I'd ask him again, but I'd like to surprise him instead.

PS. I'd like to point out that I'm using AutoCAD 2007.
