Create user accounts in different directory from Windows?

    Hi there,
Im looking to format and partition my Hard Drive into 3 parts. One for programs, one for windows and one for user data. Im just confused, is it possible to have user accounts on a different drive from the windows installtion and if so, how?

    Thanks

Even if it was possible why would you want to do it? Windows doesn't care where you put programs or store files, but if you would like my opinion keep everything to do with the operating system on one partition and keep the other partitions for storing things e.g a partition for music and videos, another for storing camera jpg's and bits and bobs.......so if you have a nasty windows crash, no problem formatting the windows partition and all your other partitions will be safe.

    Many Thanks for the link

Getting another harddrive now so im having all my media (games/films/music/documents) now stored on the old one. Im also going to split the new hard drive into 2 partitions, one for windows and one for programs. That way it'll all be independant and hopefully most safe way of keeping my stuff.
