Excel Sign Change

Does anyone know how to change the signs of numbers in excel in a column from positive to negative and from negative to positive.

for a negative to postaive number you could square it and then get the square root - not sure how you'd get a posative number to a negative though.

easiest:

=-A1

(assuming A1 is first ref to change)

if you want to replace the existing numbers, just copy the newly inverted ones and PASTE SPECIAL/VALUES over the old ones.
