    Question Dell Vista Upgrade

    Hi,

I bought a Dell laptop a few months back and signed up to the www.dellvistaupgrade.com website for my copy of Vista. I was just wondering if anyone also has done this and and if they know when they might be getting the Vista package from Dell? The Dell website just says pending on the Status of the order.

    Thanks,

    Dave

from the info I have, they will be shipping on either the 12 or 22 feb. shipping can take between 4 and 8 weeks from these dates. this means more than likely you will get it a month from your order, as per microsoft's policy. hope this helps!

Hi any further news on this. Mine has still not shipped although I have read other Dell customers have received theirs already, I signed up as soon as it was possible to do so in November...is it a UK thing or just me?

Do they ship you a driver disk as well or are you on your own making it work?

It says they are shipping the drivers with is too and Dell Upgrade Assistant DVD..whatever that is. I think that is why Dell are a bit behind with the shipping, due to the need for compatible drivers.
