    Uninstalling a program

I've installed a Softimage XSI on my girlfriends computer and want to uninstall it now but it won't work!

When I tried to install, it didn't work properly and crashed halfway through, but it's still shown on Program Files and in the Add/Remove Programs list (although without any "size"...it's just blank where size should be). If I try to do remove, on the add/remove programs list, it does nothing except the window flickers and then XSI is still there!

Is there any other way to remove it from the computer so I can try to reinstall it? It has no Uninstall file in the folder in Program Files either :/

    Cheers,
    Chris.

    *edit* XP Home btw

Make a system restore point before doing anything in case it goes wrong...(I won't be liable for broken PCs...)

Check in "C:\Program Files" to see if there are any files left lying around and delete them, then download CrapCleaner (http://www.ccleaner.com).

It has an uninstall option where you can either choose to uninstall the program (which has already failed for you) or just delete the entry from the "add/remove programs" list.

You can then run the registry cleaner part of it (be careful, I would suggest a reg backup first to be on the safe side) to remove any old and useless registry keys related to the now-removed program.

I blogged about CrapCleaner a while ago, please read that first before running it, it's got some dangerous features:
