As with any VBA the simplest place to start is:

    1) Record the steps you want to automate.
    2) Look at the generated code for the objects and methods it uses.
    3) Read VBA help for the above objects and methods.
    4) Modify recording to fit your task and make it more easily reused.

I'm not sure how you came to that conclusion? I've never had any trouble finding code samples (for any language) and you've not asked anything that isn't in the sample code provided in the VBA Help files.

To implement #3, the first thing you need to do is make sure you have the "Control Toolbox" toolbar visible.

This will allow you to draw a command button (correct) or radio button (wrong object for this purpose) onto the page and write some code for its "click" event.

Right click the button and select "View code" to open the VBA editor.
