Hi,
I'm wondering if anyone has any experience of using an OS X box (Mac Mini) as a personal server, and syncing with other pc's and phones.
The idea is to use a Mac Mini for:
samba, itunes (daapd), web hosting, frontrow, backup, contacts, calendar, imap email, ssh, bit torrent, etc.
The clients would be:
1. a laptop or indeed any mobile computer on the network.
2. a desktop, which should be able to access email, calendar and contacts via MS Outlook.
3. a Nokia 6280, which should be able to sync calendar and contacts.
Most ofthe requirements are pretty easy to set up.
However, calendar and contacts seem pretty difficult. Can I use some web dav install on the Mac Mini, to sync with the phone and pc? In addition to bluetooth (--> phone) and network (ss> pc), these should also be exported over http so they can be accessed remotely.
Thanks in advance,
dgr
