Reversing Stereo in Win7 - Can it be done?

Lo guys

Can stereo be reversed in Win7... reason being a new set of speakers arrived, and they need to be opposite sides of the screen to the way the manufacturer designed them.. so I can get the headphones plugged in easily for gaming.

Any ideas? I can't find the option anywhere and I'm not gonna resolder a new mini jack cable.

only thing I can think of chap is to wire up a reverse stereo jack to plug in between speakers and PC

Depends on the sound card you have, some allow you to choose where a speaker is positioned such as (IIRC) X-Fi cards

What make is the sound card? my xonar DX and onboard allow it.

It's done at driver level. If you're using the standard MS ones update them and look give it a shot

Or if you're being lazy on the soldering front, buy a couple of cables off the bay for next to nothing:

A 3.5mm male to 2 phono *2 (of opposing gender) will work fine. Just plug the white into the red and you're away. Should cost under a fiver.
