    Question 16GB Voyager Models

Does anyone know if Corsair has any plans to release a faster memory version of the 16GB Voyager?

I ask because I am very interested in buying the 16GB drive, but have noticed that the transfer speeds (both read and write) are a fair bit slower than the 8GB drives. I'd be very interested to know if there are any plans to release either a faster 'regular' 16GB Voyager or even if a 'GT' model is around the corner with improved read/write speeds?

Thanks in advance for any information you can provide.

At this time, I don't think the memory is available to make a 16gb "GT" version. For now, 8gb is the fastest "GT" model and I don't have a time frame on any larger sizes of "GT".

Thanks for the reply. Is there any chance of a faster 'normal' 16GB model? - i.e with read/write speeds equivalent to the 'normal' 8GB model?

In the future I am certain that there will be but, as I said above, I don't think that the memory currently exists to make a stick of that density and in thumb size. If there is, it is currently cost prohibitive to make drives with it.

Thanks again for the quick reply. I've gone ahead and ordered an 8GB Voyager GT from Scan.
