    Possible F240GT problem.

    Hi, I have a Force F240GBGT-BK in a PC bought about 2 years ago. Obvs the dealers warranty is out, but if I provide the serial number, can u check to see if there is any warranty on the drive, just in case...

    I have some more testing to do in a different PC system tomorrow, Ill keep u posted on results.

    Hi David,
    That GT model has a 3 year warranty, so you should be fine its still under Corsair warranty.

    Thanks, so far Ive had to format it as it wasnt being seen as a drive in the upstairs PC, then run a format recovery program, its taken 8 hours and it says it will be another 8 hours to go, so I'll see what it's doing tomorrow morning !

    8 hrs is way too long. I would try secure and erase using Parted Magic. We've had success using that tool every time we run into detection issues. Check out this thread. I hope that helps
