Can't believe Terry missed that last penalty, so unlucky with the slip. Although, I think the best team won tbh, even though there's not much in it.

Yeah same here... thought it was all over for United when he stepped up. Can't say he deserved to miss like that but also feel United deserved the win.

Just imagine Ronaldo if United lost...

    Re: Glory Glory Man Utd!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well done to both teams in my opinion. Lets face it, an all English final is an awesome achievement. I'm not much of a Man Utd fan anymore (would rather see Argyle do better ) but i was a huge Man Utd fan the last time Giggs lifted the trophy and so glad to see him do it again.

I'm a fan of neither side but that was a really good final - they can be boring affairs but they played it with great spirit on the whole.

Exactly what I was thinking, and with Drogba getting sent off for his little girl slap it was just poetic. Not a fan of either team, but generally was a good game - even though there were a few utterly embarrassing moments for English football viewed through the eyes of millions around the world.

    Re: Glory Glory Man Utd!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thought overall Chelsea deserved the win more, based on the play.. they showed that they can mix it up and play football with any team by totally dominating the second half and later parts of the first with good football. Shame a game has to be won/lost like that, but it has to be decided somehow. Overall, I think the Premiership was the winner

    Re: Glory Glory Man Utd!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Jesus...

What can I say about that game.

First half was some sexy football from United. The 2nd half was a sheer nightmare at times causing me to drink excessively and bite the hell out of my nails.

But what can I say apart from there was more drama than an episode of Eastenders. We had high's, low's and EVERYTHING inbetween all rolled into an action-packed 2 hours.

I still can't believe the penalties as well. As soon as Ronaldo missed I was speechless with a lump in my throat the size of an apple and I was praying to the Busby Babes that somehow Chelsea needs to miss a penalty.

Oh and when I saw Bobby crying at the end, well that just made the whole night an emotional rollercoster!

    Re: Glory Glory Man Utd!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good game for the neutral - first half in particular was a glowing example of English football IMHO.

Ronaldo penalty miss was utterly predictable, as was the manner in which he would miss it

Ever since John Terry called Ledley King a "lippy black monkey", I've been waiting for a moment like last night... absolutely wonderful stuff.

    Re: Glory Glory Man Utd!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I enjoyed watching the game, as I would am a Man Utd fan xD

I was smiling when Drogba got sent of in all honesty.

I personally think that after Scholes picked up his injury, United's tempo changed.

As for Ronaldo's penalty miss, that was just plain stupidity, I can't for the life of me understand why he would stop half way through, prat about, then shoot, he should of just gone and whacked it.

Lee, I was like you may, in all honesty when Ronaldo missed, I thought it was all over for Man U and started praying that something good would happen.

If am honest, I kinda feel bad for John Terry, he played his ass off as did other players but lets face it, if it wasn't for him clearing the shot from Giggs it would of all been over a bit earlier for Chelsea.

If you don't like football, or have nothing to say about the champions league final, why would you come into a thread called 'Glory Glory Man Utd' knowing its about the football?

Go and talk to your middle class mate about the rugby, and let us talk about the football in this thread.
