Indeed, a proper character, and a proper sportsman. Don't think this is really a surprise, though - it's been on the cards since he had to call off his 2nd XI return earlier this summer. Still, he had a pretty amazing career even despite the injuries. Be interesting to see what he does next: he doesn't strike me as a natural broadcaster...
