Oooww.
Nice going, something to show the grandkids when they moan about having to walk to school. Plus a nice way to celebrate Christmas, well done.
major respect to you guys who have competed in the IronMan and huge good luck to anyone wanting to do it. It's defiantly worth while training for.

Ta. Not quite in the same league as your mental races, but I managed to slash nearly 2 hours off the last half iron I did (although the bike was significantly less hilly), 46 days until my maiden Ironman race....
Yes.... Yes they have.....
Congratulations and well done.

@kopite, yeah, I posted in your wetsuit thread. Feels pretty good having done it. Bit of a sense of anticlimax now though. Fortunately that will be short lived as I've decided to add a bit more jeopardy into the next one by signing up for IM Melbourne (and shark infested waters).
http://ferroustom.wordpress.com/2014...ch-i-do-outlaw <- if you want more info. Definitely a recommended event well organised and tonnes of support.
haha that'll help with the swim then I had forgotten until last week that the albert dock can get quite full of jelly fish and with that being the location of the swim section of my first tri its going to make things interesting
I have set myself a target of sprint this year, Olympic next year and then if that goes well I'll do an ironman 70.3 the year after. If I'm still alive after them then it'll be a full im the year after
Sounds like a plan. Be aware though that Ironman training takes up a considerable chunk of time. You will need a very understanding other half, and to get well acquainted with getting up when most people are staggering in from nightclubs.
