Anyone going to be watching the Super Bowl this Sunday?
Or any American Football fans in general?

I will be watching. Nice to see someone else starting a superbowl thread!
I'll be watching. Not bothered who wins though (was vaguely following the 49ers through the regular season/playoffs). Hoping for a good game, it is getting pretty dire, I'll probably switch it off...
I'll be watching on the BBC, can't be arsed with adverts on Sky.
BBC1, 22:55 - 4:00 on Sunday.

set to record from the BBC I'm not staying up until 5am to watch it
Nope, not with Six Nations on this weekend, much more important
I'm a bit torn between watching the game on late at my Dad's place or just downloading a version of the American feed the day after so all the commercials are included. Having seen a few Super Bowls in the USA, especially with several non-sports fans who watch it for the 'in-between bits', it somehow misses something without all the added extras.
I'm going to be behind the Patriots on this one I think.
I'm a Dolphins fan myself, with the Atlanta Falcons my second preference.
It all started for me when I was a kid and I caught a few highlights and games late at night on Channel 4 (I think). I remember it seeming really exotic with all the colours and logos etc. It was all very new. Not sure why I settled on the Dolphins, I think there was something about the colours, and the fact I loved marine life that seemed to draw me in. I think this will have been in the 90's somewhere. After that, while I was never a huge fan, I always enjoyed trying to catch a game here and there. Then after living in the USA, I enjoy playing the occasional game of touch football. When, then, I started to get back into it, I decided I could try to choose a different team, but no-one else appealed. So Dolphins it is - even if they are a bit middle of the road! At least I can't be accused of glory hunting!
The Falcons connection is just that I have friends who live in George, just outside Atlanta and having made a couple of trips there I go to the Falcons as my secondary team.
I'd be interested to hear how other non-Americans found a liking for the sport?

Tbh with you all, the only reason I'm watching it is for the cheerleaders
With any luck I'll be having a good time at my work Christmas party.
Yes, a Christmas party in February. Don't ask.
Of course will be a good weekend of sport (time to start a thread on rugby ). Calcutta cup will be the pick of the games I reckon, hard to pick a winner at the moment. Really depends on how the English start the game, if poorly and they get down could see the Scottish winning, depends who has more desire which both teams should have in bucket loads with having so much to prove.
Wales Ireland will be interesting to and then in 2 weeks Super 15 starts (having lived in South Africa for a bit it is probably my favourite club competition).
So, any predictions for Super Bowl 47? Tebow...Jets...?
