Hey!
Ingredients:
- Rolled Oats (e.g quaker oats)
- Protein powder of your choice (I use chocolate)
- Skimmed/Low fat milk
- Sweetener (e.g Truvia)
This is one of the best meals you can have for your breakfast to get your day started. Rolled oats give you a slow release of energy throughout the morning so you'll feel alert and won't feel like snacking.
When you wake up on a morning your body is in a catatonic state, through the night you've been asleep (obviously) and your body hasn't been getting fueled. A dose of protein in your first meal of the day will bring your body back out of this catatonic state and get your metabolism and energy levels fired right back up.
The sweetener is an optional extra, I personally don't have a great sweet tooth but should you be one for something sweeter then go ahead and stick some in!
I would advise to put your protein powder in the milk before the porridge, it seems to mix a lot better. Or shake it up in your shaker then pour it into the bowl.
