Define 'fast enough'.
This one apparently has 40-45MB/s, which is just a bit slower than an old laptop hard drive. As with all SSDs though, random writes will be much slower than that figure.
Get this instead 300x FTW!

Get 2 and put them in RAID 0 using this http://www.lycom.com.tw/ST138.htm Scan used to sell them but they seem to have stopped the only place I can find it now is YoYoTech http://www.yoyotech.co.uk/lycom-st13...-p-425476.html Costs almost £50 (Scan had it on today only for £35 the other day )
The lycom card was very popular but due to a patent issue and the threat of legal action it was removed from the website accordingly until it is resolved.
Could well be due to it only being accessable in PIO mode. This isn't a problem in a card reader, but makes things horrible to use on an IDE bus.
The Scan details don't say if that card is UDMA or not. Thats what you need to get decent transfer rates fromCF cards as boot drives.
I believe all CF cards with speeds greater than 133x are UDMA (may be wrong mind has happened before will happen again!) The Lexar card I linked to earlier in the thread is UDMA which makes it an even better bet oh and i found it on ebuyer as well for a bit cheaper (but + delivery unless you buy something to get it over the limit (whatever that is these days!)) http://www.ebuyer.com/product/141326
You could always buy several and RAID them together.
