Does your motherboard support RAID?

This.
Obviously make sure your BIOS is up to date as well.

Are the secondary channels enabled?
Have you tried IDE MODE in the bios?
Having you tried pluging them in place of an exisiting drive?
Have the disks been raided before? If so can the native mode see them?
Are they getting power? SSDs are a pain to work out if they are on or not!
Re: BIOS not detecting SSD
It was a duff SATA cable. What I find odd though is up until I decided to change the drives I had been using this particular cable with a standard mechanical HDD fine.
Anyway, I checked both SSDs on all channels using the single cable first. BIOS detected the SSD all 12 times which proved there was nothing wrong with either the motherboard, the SSDs or that particular SATA cable.
As soon as I tried to POST with the second cable, I got the familiar sight of the POST trying to auto detect the drive on SATA I. Swapped the cable and sure enough, made it into the BIOS where it detected the SSD fine.
Should really have done that before making this post but at 5am you sometimes overlook the simplest of things.
Anywho, all sorted now I beleive. Currently installing Windows 7 in RAID 0.
Cheers for flooking in folks.
