Woe is me
I have spent the last 3 months building my dream system and finally completed it a couple of weeks ago. On booting it today I got a splash screen from my EVGA Classified that just 'hung' and hung and hung, hhmmmmmmmm.
I have by process of elimination found my nice shiny Intel 80GB SSD (2nd gen)
to be the problem. Bios boots perfectly normally with a windows cd/other connected but not with the SSD - motherboard reads POST code 75 (IDE issue) and hangs until the bios finally states 'DISK BOOT FAILURE, INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND ENTER" and will do no more. SSD is not recognised in bios - as it previously has been I hasten to add.
I have tried different sata ports, swapped the power, diconnecting all other drives and still no good. I must add that it was all working fine for 3 weeks or so, I am really confused and really frustrated - can anyone help me please beofre i go![]()
