Is there any advantage in getting a 256GB instead of a 128Gb SSD. It will be used primarilly for the OS and programs.
I am just about to take the SSD plunge, the capacity choice is either 128 or 256.

Depends entirely on how much space you need, if cost isn't really a consideration. Only you can determine that. I would suggest 128Gb would probably be adequate though.
Thanks for your advise,cost is always an issue, i was just looking at the diff in price btw 128 and 256, it sees the latter is more cost effective for me.
The larger you go generally you get more GB/£ and most likely more speed as well.
i went for the 160gb intel G2 as it has better 4k random read/writes than the others.
I am thinking of going for the 128GB Crucial RealSSD reviews look good.
Space is a premium with SSD, atm its best to go with what you can afford (and justify) and the rest of storage goes on mechanical..
