    RAID only makes sense if you have decent [and expensive!] RAID controller.

    If people moan that SSD's are too expensive then they might forget the RAID thing all together.

    I've been always running RAID and never had problems with it [Areca and LSI do awesome RAID cards ]

    Already did and it does slow down but idea is to stick the OS partition in the quickest area hence the previous post
