vertex 2e, for the win
what are peoples thoughts on the g.skill phoenix pro 60gb as this seems to again be identical specs to the vertex and the force but is available for just over £110 from aria not including delivery.
You're right it looks to be identical with the same sf1200 controller. Personally I'd stick with the OCZ for the support/firmware alone, plus it's now under £120 on e-buyer (plus free, if slow, delivery).
Don't forget you can email TheManWhoCan to request a deal.

As a relative novice, I have been surfing a number of forums for a while and came to the conclusion that the 120GB OCZ Vertex II was the way forward Got mine from SCAN as their after-sale service is great. With more enthusiasm than know-how, I struggled to clone my OS from the 1TB HDD to the new drive, but got there in the end. Will need to resolve some tech issues with you guys who know far more than me. My SSD now holds Win 7 h.p. 64bit and M$ FSX - plus a couple of other smallerr apps = 50%. FSX seems to have a few stutters at the moment, but - with help from the community - I hope to get that sorted.
Does this help at all?
When I run Crystal disk info it gives my OCZ a 98% health status. Anyone else got a similar result ?
I'll have a look now:

I've vowed not to do any benching/health checking on my SSD unless it is noticeably running more slowly or showing problems to avoid the paranoia that I know would eat away at me if I thought it wasn't completely perfect.
This is the results I got.

i actually went for the corsair f100 from scan, had it on special via scanshot for £110. just need to decide whether it goes in the desktop or my laptop now!
1.3TB of writing - those poor NAND blocks :P
thats what is worrying me a little bit actually but from what i've read it seems to be completely random in the problems nature (certain combinations of hardware i think). just now need to decide on the best way to get my current windows installation on it or to start completely from scratch
