It is simple to remove, You just run the driver installer and select 'uninstall' then select it from the list. let it finish and re boot.
When I first installed Windows 7 (fresh) on my SSD it was a bit slow but, I had selected something in the BIOS that it did not seem to like. After I changed that it was fine and faster.

If you can remember what that was I'll have a lookg although it seems pretty fast. Would like to stop this weird reboot system it has atm though.

The AMD drivers weren't too clever then. ? :P

microsoft (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/l...62(WS.10).aspx) list the Large System Cache as a pre vista option only. Also it says this is best used to allow a server (like a file server) to dedicate more ram to the file system cache. I can't see why it would be useful on a desktop PC with an SSD in it.
And here (http://www.tweakhound.com/blog/?p=1164) has an entire blog post that shows the NtfsMemoryUsage option is also ignored on windows 7.
I can't see the point in short stroking an SSD. Or is that just me? I thought the point of short stroking a drive is that the maximum (and therefore the average) seek time is reduced becuase the heads don't have so far to move. Can't see that making much difference to an SSD.
Sorry, Just noticed that there were 3 pages of this I hadn't read. Quick reply appeared, I did. Sorry everyone. I'll go back read the rest now.
