dude i would wait a few weeks more new ssd's are coming out and you might regret it if you buy a ssd now. If u have a spare hdd order ur components now and use ur old one temporarily.
Well its only a few weeks and yes u will install everything on your new ssd but I personally would get the rig set it up, only install basics like office and os. I wouldnt put anything else on it and would use it just for surfing the net etc until new ssd's come out and if the new ones come out they might push the older ssd's price down. So basically if u wait u may have a higher capacity hdd for the same price or same capacity but faster hdd or old ssd prices will go down and u can get it for cheaper
ahhhhh i see what your mean
but personally, i dont want to have a rig i cant use? i want to install wow
so ill be using an OEM win 7 64 bit,
will it let me do a fresh install on the SSD, is it easy to wipe the sata 2 standard HDD to do this?
Well you can wait and it might turn out for the better or u can order now and possibly regret in 2 weeksand yes it will let u do fresh install just boot up with the cd follow instructions and you will then see a list of available drives and you just select the standard hdd and press format at the bottom and then select the ssd and install os on to that. Simple
EDIT: check out this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZQGcj...eature=related
it will show u how to install windows and you will see that when u select the drive at the bottom you see "drive options (advanced)" when u click that it will give the option to format#
EDIT 2: its not 2 weeks apparently its 3 days as nightshadow said
no no no maybe its me and my poor explanation lets say ur going to install on normal hdd until new ssd's come out assuming there not out on wednesday, you just install on normal hdd and once ur new ssd comes u fire up the disc and when u get to the drive selection menu, you select normal hdd then click on drive options and select format, this will wipe normal hdd clean and then you select your ssd and install os on that by clicking next. Hope thats clear
EDIT: Ok when u get a normal hdd follow instructions on the video and once u get ur ssd follow my instructions
