    Which sub-£100 SSD?

A friend is after an SSD, wants it for an OS drive and a few apps. Size isn't critical, provided it fulfils the above, so I'm thinking 30-60GB.

What do the panel think? Intel? OCZ?

And .... buy now or wait? Any large changes imminent?

I think that even after the new ones come out it will take a few months for the prices to
come down on the old stuff and then i cant see it being more than maybe a tenner for ages.

I would say its out of the C300 64 GB (£86 at ebuyer) and one of the 60GB sandforce for similar
    money.

Kumas pretty much on the nail, C300 being about the cheapest for performance, Corsair F60 and the Ocz Vertez 2E being around the £100 mark for better performance.

IIRC, the new flash chips based on the smaller production process are meant to be theoretically less reliable than the previous generation.
