    Re: Which 120GB SSD?

You can't really make a bad choice with the ones you have chosen, the OCZ should be the fastest but the Sandforce controller slows down when working with compressed files as it compresses all the files on the disk. I would get the OCZ but the Crucial is also close in performance.

    Kingston SSDNow V-Series V100 128GB price
    Crucial RealSSD M4 128GB 2.5" SATA 6Gb/s speed
    Intel 320 Series 120GB 2.5" SATA-II reliability
    OCZ Vertex 2E 120GB 2.5" SATA-II speed

I would get the crucial hands down the best of that list. Even out performs a vertex 3 on average.

Aria just did those deals again and they sold out again.

The following drive was around £110 to £120 IIRC:

    Re: Which 120GB SSD?

yea seen that Cat but missed it. Had the 64GB corsair in my basket but decided it wasnt big enough and binned it

    Ordered the Crucial RealSSD M4 128GB 2.5" SATA 6Gb/s

It was the cheapest. And ppl say its good . . . although some also say its bad

    We shall see lol

I was kicking myself for missing that deal until I realised with postage it would come to around £73. The Vertex is slower but at £59.99 sounded more palatable to me ATM!!

    Re: Which 120GB SSD?

Yea I also added in postage to northern ireland and then realised I wasnt saving so much

On another note I got 2 2TB drives on ocuk offers for £96 and 8Gb ram for 60, so not too bad.

Also got the Dell U2311 on Aria for £199

    So yea expensive day . . . .

Given that aria was meant to have some BD in stock from AMD for the event and they couldnt send them due to problems Im going to assume that AMD is even further off than we expect. Most likely we will get another paper launch . . . .

You can get the corsair force series 3 for £170 - BT shop and Dabs (free delivery)

I'm very close to making the leap for that drive myself. I haven't found a review of the corsair drive yet. As I do more research I'm seeing that the advertised speeds, read/write/IOPS, don't necessarily equate to real world performance.

    Re: Which 120GB SSD?

try out the corsair force 3 that a the better bargain, the read write speeds are as fast at the vertex 3 and like the corsair professional series it got better trim control
